This work was produced in Japan in 2017, supervised by Associate Professor Makoto Yoshikawa of JAXA, and features the most complete and accurate knowledge about Earth! Even today, museums in Japan still screen this work, and the Taipei Astronomical Museum has also introduced it. Not only does it provide Doraemon fans with another way to enjoy the series, but it also combines education with entertainment, making it easier for the public to absorb astronomical knowledge.
To achieve the goal of the free study topic "Investigating Evidence of Living Organisms," Doraemon and his friends take an underground exploration vehicle deep into the Earth's crust to investigate fossils sleeping within. Along the way, they encounter many fossils, such as "mammoths" and "dinosaurs." Eager to witness the birth and evolution of Earth firsthand, Nobita and his companions, fascinated by the Earth at the time of life's emergence, use the Earth Creation Kit to recreate the primitive Earth of the distant past. They learn that the evolution of living organisms involved various means of movement (walking, jumping, flying). Next, they learn how humans invented rockets through the application of scientific knowledge, discovering the possibility of using rockets to reach outer space. They also contemplate advanced spacecraft that could allow more astronauts to travel together to farther reaches of the universe, ultimately realizing that Earth—which protects and nurtures countless forms of life—is itself a fully equipped, high-performance spacecraft in the cosmos!
We live on this beautiful planet called Earth and should strive to understand and cherish it more. Exploring the wonders of Earth begins with enjoying Doraemon's planetarium show on the dome screen! Besides spending enjoyable time with Doraemon, it also combines education with entertainment, making it easier for the public to absorb astronomical knowledge.
