This film is the official sequel to "Lilo & Stitch," distinct from the previously released Disney direct-to-video premiere "Stitch! The Movie," which was derived from the "Lilo & Stitch" television series. This installment returns to the original movie, continuing directly from its storyline. The plot is set immediately after the end of the "Lilo & Stitch" film, taking place earlier than the events of "Stitch! The Movie" and the "Lilo & Stitch" TV series. Therefore, it does not involve Stitch searching for the other 625 experiments. The story picks up right where the original film left off, following the interstellar creature Stitch as he finally receives official permission to live in Hawaii with the little girl Lilo. Lilo wants to participate in the annual hula dance competition to honor her mother's past legacy, and Stitch helps her prepare for the contest. However, strange things soon begin to happen: Stitch, who has almost fully adapted to local life, inexplicably develops glitches and starts behaving very oddly. Could he be malfunctioning? What initially seems like a minor glitch gradually worsens, even threatening Stitch's life. The only one who can solve the problem appears to be Stitch's creator, Dr. Jumba. As Lilo prepares for the hula competition, how will she manage to fix her interstellar friend?
