In the year 2200, humanity entered a great age of exploration into outer space. Led by the Three-Planet Alliance with Earth at its forefront, a grand fleet of space carriers (Lagāgādo) was formed to create a galactic "map" and search for undeveloped, habitable new planets. Commanding the fleet, fifteen members including Ken Tobi (Aki Manabu) set sail aboard the Dairugger (Dairagaa), riding the cosmic winds.
