Ōeshi Agricultural High School (commonly known as Eshi Nōkō) is an agricultural high school located in Hokkaido, where most of the students are children of farming families aiming to pursue careers in agriculture. With the largest campus area among all high schools in Japan, surrounded by Hokkaido’s magnificent nature and rural scenery, Eshi Nōkō welcomes a special student in the new academic year—Hachiken Yūgo. A delicate urban student who graduated from an academic junior high school, he grows restless upon realizing that he is the only first-year student without a clear life goal. From this point on, Hachiken Yūgo’s high school life begins—written as “Every Day at an Agricultural High School,” but read as “Finding His Dream in the Days of Youth.”
