The stop-motion anime "PUI PUI Molcar," which aired and streamed from January to March 2021 and gained popularity primarily on social media, is coming to theaters. Set in a world where guinea pigs have become cars, it depicts the adventures of "Molcars"—guinea pigs fused with cars. Originally broadcast as a short anime (approximately 3 minutes per episode) within TV Tokyo's children's program "Kinder TV," "PUI PUI Molcar" captivated not only children but also adults across its 12 episodes with the texture of its wool-felt Molcars, their rich expressions, adorable gestures, and squeaks. The entire series will be screened in one go in theaters, presented in 3D & MX4D (with some 2D screenings) to deliver a unique cinematic experience.
