This video is a tribute to Monty Oum, who inspired me and many others. Many may not even know that this was one of his first major works on the internet before his time at Rooster Teeth. I wanted to try and create something that could at least somewhat stand up to the original. There are quite a few changes compared to the original. Don’t worry—I’ve already noted a ton of visual mistakes, but due to time constraints, I couldn’t go back and fix them. Anyway, this video took an extremely long time to complete for a number of reasons, mostly burnout. The first uploads of any version of this video date back to June 2017! I tried my best and hope you all have as much fun watching this as I did making it. I’m going to get back into uploading MUCH smaller but more frequent videos, though I do need a little time to decompress—this was a ludicrous amount of animation work, and even with some poor motion capture, it took way too long. Please feel free to ask questions about this video. I’m really enthusiastic about finally finishing this and being able to move on.
