Commissioned by 180 Studios, Ryoji Ikeda's new site-specific audiovisual installation, data-cosm [n°1], is a unique immersive experience that presents the full spectrum of natural data—from the microscopic scale of particle physics to the macroscopic scale of astrophysics, as seen in the artist's previous data-verse project. data-cosm [n°1] combines a giant microscope, scientific instruments, clinical equipment, monitoring systems, and a window into an infinitely vast space. Visitors can lie on the floor, look up at the large LED screen overhead, and immerse themselves in Ikeda's soundscape—a full-sensory experience.
