"ONE PIECE Period Drama," also known as Luffy the Constable and Pirate Period Drama, completely departs from the pirate world, presenting a story in the style of a period drama set in a fictional world. In this series, the Straw Hat Pirates don traditional period attire, appearing with different identities and professions, living lives entirely distinct from their sea-faring adventures. The setting is "Japan-hon," a place closely resembling Japan's Edo period. The story tells of people living peaceful and content lives, until a villain named Buggy leads the "Buggy Family" into town, planning to rob the money exchange. At that moment, a constable known as "Straw Hat Luffy" appears and defeats the Buggy Family. The subsequent story follows Constable Luffy as he thwarts the schemes of various villains.
