This 24-hour special program is a continuation of the remastered versions of the film editions "The Desert Princess and the Pirates: Adventures in Alabasta" and "Episode of Chopper Plus: Bloom in the Winter, Miracle Sakura," based on famous arcs from the original work. It is the first television special of "ONE PIECE" broadcast in the "Saturday PREMIUM" time slot. As for this production, the selected famous arc from the original work is the "Arlong Park Arc (Nami's Story)," which has been remastered into this special. The storyline differs somewhat from the original. The BD/DVD version was released in Japan on November 30, 2012. The theme song for this work is "We Are!," which is also the first opening song of the television anime series, though in this special, it is performed by AAA. Nami leaves Luffy and the others, taking an entire ship's treasure back to her hometown, Cocoyasi Village. Luffy decides to go find her. Upon arriving on the island, he discovers that Nami is a member of the Fish-Man Pirate crew, the Arlong Pirates, who rule the island. Usopp accidentally meets Nami's adoptive sister, Nojiko, and begins to learn about Nami's tragic past. Since eight years ago, in order to raise 100 million Berries to buy back Cocoyasi Village from Arlong, Nami had no choice but to agree to draw nautical charts for Arlong and steal treasures from pirates everywhere. Just as she was about to reach 100 million Berries, Marine Lieutenant Commander Nezumi, who was colluding with Arlong, came and stole the money. Arlong never intended to keep his promise—he was only using Nami to make her draw charts for him for the rest of her life. After learning this, Luffy decides to help his friend.
