The 15th work in the World Masterpiece Theater series, adapted from British author James Matthew Barrie's work "Peter Pan." 　　 When the three children of the Darling family fall asleep, Peter Pan—the eternal child who never wants to grow up—arrives. The children wake up and leave through the window with Peter Pan. Together, they all fly freely. Peter Pan takes Wendy and the others to Neverland, a dream kingdom where anything is possible. There are pirates and Native Americans. Wendy plays the role of mother among Peter Pan and the children. At first, Tinker Bell is very jealous of Wendy, but later she opens her heart. The story unfolds with the thrilling pirate Hook arc, featuring giant machinery and chaos, followed by the original witch Darknis arc, showcasing the charm of Peter Pan. 　　 The first 22 episodes comprise the first part, depicting life on Neverland and the battle against the pirates—the "Captain Hook Arc"—as per the original work. From episode 23 onward, the story expands with original content not found in the source material, unfolding the "Darknis Arc."
