On a night with a bright moon and sparse stars, Po (voiced by Jack Black), Tigress (voiced by Angelina Jolie), and Mantis (voiced by Seth Rogen) sneak into the museum of the new martial arts tournament. Displayed here are the classic weapons of kung fu masters such as Storming Ox (voiced by Dennis Haysbert), Croc (voiced by Anthony Leondis), and Thunder Rhino (voiced by Paul Scheer). Po is thrilled by all of this. Of course, there are also artifacts related to the Soothsayer sisters (voiced by Sumalee Montano). Po tells his friends a tale from the martial world long ago: Back then, the Soothsayer sisters wreaked havoc across the Central Plains, defeating the mighty Jackal Empire with just a pair of chopsticks. After escaping from the imperial prison, they began plotting to unite with martial arts outcasts to dominate the entire nation. To thwart their ambitions, Master Oogway (voiced by Randall Duk Kim) sought out Storming Ox, Croc, and Thunder Rhino—who, at the time, were skilled in kung fu but obsessed with fame and fortune—and together they journeyed to the lair of the Soothsayer sisters... This film won the 2012 Annie Award for Best Animated Production.
