"The Centurions," an American animated series produced and aired from 1985 to 1987, featured top-tier storytelling, settings, creativity, and visuals—here I must mention again that although the creative unit was the American Ruby-Spears company, the entire animation production was outsourced to Japan's Sunrise studio. That’s why, when I first watched it, I was amazed by the exceptionally high-quality animation, which was quite rare for American cartoons at the time. The mad scientist was originally named Dr. Terror (he once had a complete human body but was severely injured in an accident and later rebuilt himself; one episode recalled this backstory). His assistant was called Hacker. The doctor also had a daughter. On the side of justice, the heroes in blue, yellow, and green combat suits were Ace McCloud, Jake Rockwell, and Max Ray, respectively. However, two more warriors were later added: Rex Charger (a bearded Russian) and John Thunder (a Native American). The beauty in charge of the Sky Vault space station was named Crystal Kane, and the gorilla was called Lucy. The iconic battle cry, "神力无敌," originally was: "Man and machine, Power Xtreme!"
