"Flying Misfortune" One of the earlier surviving animations by the Wan Brothers, the opening segment features live-action footage of students playing a prank on their classmates in a classroom. When the bell rings and the teacher enters, two students with their feet tied together stand up and fall to the ground. The teacher then begins telling the children the story of "The Rat and the Frog," after which the animated portion begins: Black-Eared Field Mouse invites his good friend Frog to join him at the Datong Amusement Park to watch an acrobatic performance, and they return after having a great time. In return, Frog invites Black-Eared to play in his own pond, boasting that the underwater scenery is even more fresh and interesting than on land. Black-Eared cannot swim, but Frog says it's no problem. He finds a rope and ties their feet together for safety. Once in the pond, Frog leisurely enjoys himself, while the poor field mouse, unable to swim, faints and eventually floats to the surface. An eagle spots the unconscious field mouse in the pond and snatches both the tied-together rat and frog, making them a hearty dinner for the eagle. Synopsis from Douban.
