Mickey Mouse is back! Walt Disney Animation today released the animated short "Croissant de Triomphe," starring Mickey Mouse, Minnie, and Daisy. The short tells the story of Minnie's café running out of croissants, prompting Mickey to ride an electric scooter through the crowded streets of Paris to deliver croissants to Minnie. This short was crafted by the original animation team behind the Oscar-winning "Paperman" and overseen by Paul Rudish, the director of "Dexter’s Laboratory." You might find the art style of these shorts familiar—that’s because Paul Rudish, who produced them, is also the director of "The Powerpuff Girls." This short will be the first of Disney’s 19 animated shorts featuring the Mickey Mouse family characters. In the upcoming shorts, beloved characters like Donald Duck and Goofy will make their appearances! 03.12.13 – This series of 19, 2D cartoons will roll out on Disney Channel, Disney.com, and WATCH Disney Channel, beginning June 28.
