"ToonHeads" is an American animated anthology series that compiles short films from classic animation studios such as Hanna-Barbera, MGM, Warner Bros., and "Popeye," interspersed with background information and interesting anecdotes, with a focus on the animators and voice actors behind these shorts. The show originally aired on Cartoon Network starting October 2, 1992, and continued until November 23, 2003. The series was first announced during the Cartoon Network special "Droopy's Guide to the Cartoon Network," as part of promoting the channel's different programming blocks and their broadcast schedules. This special first aired on October 1, 1992, the day Cartoon Network launched, and was re-aired multiple times throughout October 1992. Including five specials (comprising four one-hour specials and one half-hour special), "ToonHeads" consists of over 102 episodes (many of which are not well-documented). Among them, two specials, "The Best of the Worst Cartoons Ever" and "The Twelve Missing Hares," never officially aired but were uploaded to YouTube years later.
