The "Fourth Animation Support Program," organized by the Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Association, sponsored by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's "Create Hong Kong" ("Create Hong Kong"), and fully planned by the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC), held its launch ceremony today at the HKPC Building. The event also announced the list of 15 selected start-ups and small animation enterprises participating in this year's support program. The ceremony was presided over by Ms. Lam Wai-bing, Assistant Head of Create Hong Kong of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government; Mr. Pang Tsz-kit, President of the Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Association; and Mr. Lo Siu-chung, Vice President (Corporate Management) of the Hong Kong Productivity Council. The "Animation Support Program," aimed at nurturing local start-ups and small animation enterprises, has been actively promoting the development of the local animation industry and is highly welcomed by the sector. Companies benefiting from the program will receive funding subsidies and supporting assistance over the next five months to help them produce original animations, showcasing their creativity and technical capabilities.
