In this Osaka version spin-off, Black Jack, known as an unlicensed genius surgeon, appears as an outrageously eccentric and disappointing character. He constantly surprises with his offbeat words and actions—exposing his flaws right after trying to look cool, or ruining touching moments. His assistant Pinoko sharply interjects with Kansai dialect, driving the fast-paced comedic anime. Each episode features patients with various troubles who come to seek treatment from Black Jack, making up a 12-episode short anime series.
