The story follows Nezha, who is tasked with protecting the reincarnated infant Golden Cicada but fails when Ao Lie kidnaps the child. Due to the rigid bureaucracy of the Heavenly Court, he finds no help. Teaming up with Sun Wukong, they join forces to confront the Demon Buddha. Ultimately, Nezha uses the Qiankun Circle to travel back five hundred years, destroys the source of the Demon Buddha, corrects the timeline, restores Golden Cicada to his rightful place, and brings peace back to the Three Realms.
