At the start of the series, Peter Parker has been Spider-Man for a year. He fights crime and does good, but is still learning how to be a superhero. S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Nick Fury offers Peter Parker an opportunity to train him into a true superhero—the Ultimate Spider-Man. Ultimate Spider-Man is an American animated series based on the Marvel Comics character created by Brian Bendis, Paul Dini, and Man of Action (consisting of Steven T. Seagle, Joe Kelly, Joe Casey, and Duncan Rouleau). The series draws from the Ultimate Spider-Man comics and features guest appearances by other Marvel superhero characters.
