To train the little sheep in writing good essays, Slow Sheep comes up with an idea: have each little sheep keep a daily diary. Thus, the little sheep begin recording their daily encounters and thoughts in their diaries. Among these entries: Grey Wolf invents a sheep-catching fog, and the little sheep work together to escape; Sparky Sheep, afraid his snoring will disturb the others’ sleep, sleeps outside alone and even runs into the similarly troubled Grey Wolf; Warm Sheep tries every possible way to change her “crow’s mouth” (jinxing tongue); Pretty Sheep’s attempts to make a perfect bow lead to one hilarious mishap after another; Lazy Sheep remains as carefree as ever; and Slow Sheep invents a 3D spray that attracts the little sheep to books, only to bring the Grey Wolf out from the pages and throw Sheep Village into chaos, among other stories. Besides the little sheep, Grey Wolf also keeps a diary—but his goal is to summarize his failures in catching sheep, turning it into an inspiring journal of perseverance despite repeated defeats. The little sheep are naturally optimistic; even when facing danger, they see it as adding flavor to life. So when their chase with Grey Wolf is written into their diaries, it becomes a series of joyful experiences. Hence, the diaries written by the sheep are called: “Happy Diary.”
