On her way to the exotic Kingdom of Siam, English teacher Anna Leonowens quickly discovers that her most difficult challenge is the stubborn, domineering King. Bringing together the elite of the musical theater world, Warner has transformed one of Broadway's most beloved musicals, "The King and I," into a summer animated blockbuster "dream project." It reinterprets those timeless songs and invites stars from Broadway and Hollywood to provide voice acting and singing. The film is directed by Richard Rich, who was active at Disney for many years. The story, songs, and even character designs are faithful replicas of the 1956 version. Of course, to highlight the charm of an animated film, in the cartoon version of "The King and I," besides the two main characters—the King and Anna—and a group of adorable princes and princesses, delightful animals have been added. These include the endearing little elephant "Tusker," the mischievous little monkey "Mushu," and the mighty black panther "Rama," making the film even more appealing to audiences of all ages.
