Poil de Carotte is a twelve-year-old boy who leads an unhappy existence, constantly tormented by his two half-siblings, Félix and Ernestine, and mistreated by his wicked stepmother. His father, authoritarian but impartial, is constantly absent due to work. Consequently, Poil de Carotte has no one to confide in. However, he does not let himself be defeated and, with irony and courage, he will live through many adventures, each with a happy ending.
