On the post-war hillside, a puppy named Al Qiu fights with a surviving enemy wolf over half a sweet potato. In desperation, Al Qiu picks up a nearby aircraft wreckage and defeats the wolf. Driven by intense hunger, it bites into the wolf’s chest, only to be shocked to discover that the opponent is merely a puppy wearing a wolf’s pelt. This revelation shatters its mind, plunging it into a state of madness. In its hallucinations, Al Qiu experiences the gaze of others under a spotlight, self-reflection in a mirror world, and fragmented memories in broken mirrors. Finally, guided by a childhood rocking horse, it reunites with its parents from the past. When the hallucinations fade, Al Qiu sits dazedly beside the wolf, and no one knows where it will go from here.
