The first TV anime by Toei Animation (now Toei Animation), a wildly popular jungle adventure romance. This is the third installment of its theatrical film series. Due to the impact of a massive earthquake and volcanic eruption, the jungle becomes a sea of fire. As animals flee from the jungle, Ken, the "Two-Legged Wolf," learns a certain piece of information. It is said that a totem pole, originally human and known as the "Demon Gandar," is trapped and suffering in the flames, unable to escape... Eventually, on a day when the great fire has finally subsided, gunshots echo through the jungle. A villainous gorilla, who holds a grudge against Ken, has found a gun in the forest and is throwing his weight around. Ken and his friends try to come up with a plan to take away the dangerous weapon, but... An edited version of TV Series Episode 9 "The Demon of the Totem Pole" and Episode 13 "The Pistol Commotion." It was released as a double feature with the live-action period film "Secret Swordsman."
