In 1975, after the Cambodian Communist Party seized power, millions of people were forced to leave their homes and relocate to the countryside for labor reform. During her family's relocation, a young mother becomes separated from her young son, losing all contact with him. Driven by the hope of finding her child, she struggles to survive under harsh conditions, experiencing both the kindness and cruelty of humanity, and witnessing the complete erosion of human dignity.
