"Campus Three Musketeers" is an animated series adapted from the bestselling work of the same name by renowned young adult science fiction writer Yang Peng. Following the model of "children saving the world," the series tells sci-fi detective stories centered around the super-strong and ultra-cool teenage trio known as the "Campus Three Musketeers"—Yang Ge, the "paranormal boy"; Bai Xue, the "brilliant beauty"; and Zhang Xiaokai, the "computer genius"—as they investigate mysterious events occurring on campus and around the world. The entire series is filled with science fiction imagination that appeals to children, featuring a fresh, humorous, magical, and thrilling style. The character designs are trendy, promoting a spirit of heroism and adventure that has long been absent among Chinese children. The series will be produced using a combination of 2D and 3D technology, with plans to create over 1,000 episodes within 3 to 5 years, each lasting 22 minutes. The first season of 26 episodes was completed in September 2008 and will be broadcast on China Central Television and various provincial and municipal television stations. Additionally, nine major categories of related derivative products will be developed.
