An SF gag anime with character designs and manga adaptation handled by Kenji Morita, the manga artist popular among generations for works like "Marude Dame Otoko." Robo-tan, a robot born in the Meiji era, was displayed at the World Rare Treasures Exhibition. The Aozora family purchases Robo-tan, and their son, Kanta, becomes his close friend. Though outdated, Robo-tan—who loves bananas, can fly, and can attract anything with the super magnet in his chest—becomes a beloved figure. However, Botchi, the mischievous brat from the neighboring Ijino family, and his myna bird, Kīko, once again plot mischief against Robo-tan and Kanta.
