In ancient Jinling City, Zhan Ao (voiced by Tutehameng), the guardian cat of General Kou, loses his will to fight and becomes a stray after the general's sacrifice. Soon after, a series of bizarre cases of humans turning into beasts occur in the city, and even the Crown Prince (voiced by Liu Xiaoyu) mysteriously disappears. The stray cat Zhan Ao becomes entangled in these events. Young Judge Bao Zheng (voiced by Ma Zhengyang) investigates the cases and cares for the injured Zhan Ao. Together with their partner, the Velvet-Furred Rat (voiced by Zhang Lu), and General Kou's daughter Kou Zhu (voiced by Zhu Yi), they uncover the mastermind behind the incidents and expose a grand conspiracy.
