Sega has announced that it will produce an animated series based on the action game "Golden Axe," co-produced by CBS Eye Animation Productions (the animation division of CBS Studios), Sony Pictures Television, and Original Film. The first installment of the original game was released in arcades in 1989, and a new game is currently in development.
