Bolt is the 48th classic animated feature film produced by Disney and its fourth 3D animated film. It premiered in the United States on November 21, 2008. The film is directed by Chris Williams, who previously worked on Mulan and The Emperor's New Groove, and features voice performances by well-known American stars such as John Travolta and Miley Cyrus. The story follows a white German Shepherd named Bolt, who, after long-term involvement in a television show, becomes so immersed in his role that he believes he is naturally endowed with superpowers. There is also a computer game adaptation of the same name. The actor dog Bolt originally believed that the movie world he lived in was real, but in fact, it was all a lie fabricated by the production crew. The creators of the show hoped Bolt would perform his role more convincingly, and Bolt, like a child deceived by adults, repeatedly strives to rescue his beloved owner, Penny. Penny, in turn, feels guilty toward him, as this girl could never bear to deceive such a loyal and adorable dog. One day, the unsuspecting Bolt becomes too eager to rescue his owner Penny and breaks out of his cage. However, lost and confused, he is accidentally shipped to New York. From then on, he embarks on a journey back home, as well as a path of personal growth.
