The story is based on marine creatures living in the Outer Lingding Ocean—sea snails, sea urchins, and limpets—as prototypes. It follows the adventures of the Lingding Trio, composed of Zhua Zhua, Dan Dan, and Mao Mao. With the help of their friends, they brave countless challenges and overcome hardships, ultimately defeating the Octo-Monster.
