The obstruction of the Wangwu and Taihang mountains made life difficult for the people at the source of the Ji River. An old man named Lü Santai (Yu Gong) resolved to move the mountains to change their circumstances. After enduring a series of hardships, doubts, and struggles, the old man’s spirit inspired the people and moved the heavenly deities, helping everyone discover the value of life and the meaning of existence.
