Summer vacation has arrived, and the twin siblings Mabel (voiced by Kristen Schaal) and Dipper (voiced by Jason Ritter) are sent by their parents to spend the summer in a remote town called "Gravity Falls." Here, their Great Uncle Stan runs a tourist trap called the "Mystery Shack," which is filled with all sorts of bizarre curiosities designed to swindle visitors. However, what is even more spine-chilling is the forest surrounding this peculiar town. Cautious and sharp-minded, Dipper senses something strange about the woods and soon discovers a mysterious journal buried underground, which records the hidden secrets of this enigmatic town. The cheerful Mabel and the clever Dipper befriend the Mystery Shack employees Wendy and Soos, and encounter various quirky townsfolk. In the bizarre town of Gravity Falls, they experience a series of strange events—gnomes, lake monsters, wax figures, psychics—making this summer anything but ordinary.
