Garfield, an orange-furred cat, lives in an ordinary neighborhood of the metropolis. He is born with a philosopher's eccentric thoughts and an apparently endless, voracious appetite. Pizza, pork rolls, spaghetti, cake, and all kinds of supremely delicious foods high in calories and fat are Garfield's favorites, while he scorns vegetables, mice, and the like. For him, the perfect cat life consists of enjoying a hearty meal followed by a nap. His owner, Jon, a cartoonist, might as well be a servant sent by heaven specifically to attend to him; the dog Odie naturally becomes Garfield's go-to target for amusement and entertainment. Garfield is selfish, petty, greedy, lazy, vain, and narcissistic, yet he receives the affection of the entire world... This series is adapted from the comic strip of the same name by Jim Davis.
