Lü Yeshi is a painter who usually draws boxing manuals for martial arts schools. One day, he dreams that his pet cat transforms into a kung fu cat-person, calling itself the Dream-Saving Cat, and comes to rescue his dreams. Under the guidance of the Dream-Saving Cat, Lü Yeshi learns the Cat Fist. After waking from the dream, he uses the Cat Fist to protect the lives and property of his lover Wu Shuiyue and the villagers.
