An outstanding stop-motion animated film from one of the greatest Czech filmmakers, Jiří Trnka. It recounts the ancient tales of Bohemia, from its founding by the Forefather Čech, through a series of legendary episodes of heroes, queens, and kings, inspired by Alois Jirásek's book compiling Czech myths.
