On a warm autumn evening, a father and his daughter ride their bicycles together. They travel through forest paths, across grassy fields, up a high slope, and arrive at a tranquil lake. The father hugs his daughter and boards a small boat. The daughter waits quietly by the lake, watching the boat fade into the distance, waiting until the sun is about to set. When her father does not return, the little girl rides her small bicycle home alone. From that day on, she returns to the lake every day to wait, riding her bicycle back and forth, undeterred by wind or rain. Years pass—the little girl grows into a woman, becomes a mother, and in the blink of an eye, grows old. Now aged, she continues to visit the lake daily, until the water dries up and turns into mudflats. She makes her way to the small boat resting at the bottom of the lake, lies down inside it, as if nestled in her father’s warm embrace.
