However, Dugu Yue, a mid-level animal researcher who was left behind on the moon, miraculously survived, becoming the last human in the entire universe. He begins exercising and exploring the base, gradually finding unexpected joy in his solitary life on the moon. Unbeknownst to him, the base's cameras are broadcasting his daily activities back to Earth, where the surviving humans watch his lunar life in real-time, viewing him as an inspiration.
