The latest short film by Japan's representative animation artist Mizushiri Toshiko. Mizushiri Toshiko hails from Towada City, Aomori Prefecture, Japan. Her works often take parts of the human body or common objects from daily life as subjects, emphasizing the expression of tactile sensations, and have earned her widespread acclaim internationally. This new work incorporates both the soft, rounded human form and the everyday objects that exert a sense of pressure upon it as subjects of depiction, attempting to express "tactility" itself, thereby deepening her consistent creative style. The sound design for the film is handled by musician Honda Yuka, whom Mizushiri has long admired. The work was commissioned by the Towada City Museum of Contemporary Art. It is a co-production between Japan and France. It is scheduled to be presented at international film festivals in 2021. Its Japanese premiere is set to take place at the Towada City Museum of Contemporary Art during the third phase of the "Inter + Play" exhibition (Exhibition period: January 22 to May 29, 2022).
