Santa Claus is the symbol of Christmas. Legend has it that on Christmas Eve, Santa Claus drives a sleigh pulled by reindeer to deliver gifts to countless households. However, with the continuous progress of human society, few people still believe in this long-standing legend; no one believes in the existence of Santa Claus anymore. Yet, a young boy named Klaus (voiced by Josh Hutcherson) thinks otherwise. Although his parents and friends around him tell him that Santa Claus is merely a fictional character and does not actually exist, Klaus firmly believes in Santa’s existence. As a result, he often faces ridicule from his peers, but he never wavers in his faith. Finally, Klaus’s persistence pays off. On one Christmas Eve, Klaus falls into a daze and drifts off to sleep. Suddenly, the floor begins to tremble, and the dishes on the table clatter noisily. Accompanied by the long whistle of a steam engine, a mysterious train stops right in front of his door. Nervously, he opens the door to find a kindly train conductor (voiced by Tom Hanks) standing before him. The conductor invites him aboard for a journey to the North Pole to attend the Christmas celebration and visit the legendary Santa Claus. Astonished and uneasy, Klaus agrees. After boarding the train, Klaus discovers more children joining the adventure, and together they share an incredibly joyful and unforgettable journey. Eventually, the train reaches its final destination—the North Pole. The children cheerfully hop off the train, and the Christmas celebration in the Polar City officially begins, with everyone immersed in the festive atmosphere. At that moment, a Santa Claus approaches Klaus and kindly asks him what gift he desires. Klaus hesitantly whispers that he only wants a small bell from the reindeer’s harness. Klaus gets his wish and receives the desired gift. However, on the way home, he accidentally loses the bell due to a hole in his pocket, leaving him heartbroken. Unexpectedly, when he wakes up the next day, he finds the small bell placed intact under the Christmas tree. His mother is surprised to see it but thinks the bell is broken because it makes no sound. Yet Klaus knows deep in his heart that only those who truly believe in Santa Claus can hear the clear, crisp ring of the little bell.
