A red bean named Hong Xiaodou is fortunate enough to be selected into the Imperial Kitchen of the royal harem. The ingredients vie with each other, all hoping to be eaten by the emperor, believing that this would make them the most sought-after food in the world. In the end, influenced by Hong Xiaodou, the ingredients refuse to let their fates be decided arbitrarily and choose to leave the palace together.
