This is Mr. Sato's 8mm film from his university days. As you can see, it is a work themed around "patricide," and the disparity between it and his later works is astonishing. However, he created this piece because he wanted to convey to today's children the "shock" and "fear" he felt as a child when, while playing, he unconsciously killed an insect. The point, in fact, is not the inhumanity of the mother, but rather the horror of taking a life. It lies in the "terror" of a boy who has done something irreversible.
