"Mei Hou Wang" is an inspirational coming-of-age animated series with a strong contemporary feel. The show features exquisitely drawn scenes and employs a wealth of three-dimensional visual effects, showcasing top-tier domestic animation production standards. Through the well-known classical literary figure, the Monkey King, the entire series narrates a young individual's journey of overcoming and discovering oneself. While inheriting classical themes such as the pursuit of justice and courage, the series embodies more contemporary spirits, such as growth, friendship, and teamwork. The story touches on teamwork, resilience education, and self-improvement, offering significant enlightenment for today's children. "Mei Hou Wang" tells the story of the monkey tribe on Flower Fruit Mountain, engaged in a tense battle with the Chaos Demon King. A mystical stone that had been nurturing on the mountain for years suddenly cracks open, giving birth to a stone monkey. Under the patient guidance of the old monkey king, the stone monkey goes from being ostracized by the tribe to being embraced as their king. To better protect Flower Fruit Mountain, and persuaded by everyone, the young stone monkey decides to set out to sea to learn skills. The stone monkey arrives at the Spirit Tower Heart Mountain to study under Patriarch Bodhi. Not only does he master his skills, but he also makes new friends such as Red Boy, Jade Rabbit, and Ginseng Fruit, and gains his own name—Sun Wukong.
