The wandering artist cricket Apollo arrives at a mysterious garden. Apollo wishes to earn the right to stay in the garden but nearly falls victim to a scheme by the evil wasp Wendy. One day, he meets the beautiful Queen Bee Margaret. They sing and stroll together, but the bandit moth Sphinx and his gang of pests kidnap the queen. Seizing the opportunity, the evil wasp Wendy ascends to the throne. To prove himself and to rescue Margaret, who has been kidnapped by Wendy, Apollo joins forces with the queen's good friends to match wits with Wendy.
