"New Tide" is an anti-feudal themed film that metaphorically portrays the New Culture Movement and new ideologies emerging after the May Fourth Movement as surging waves, relentlessly crashing against the filth and stagnation of feudalism. It celebrates the revolutionary new culture and fresh atmosphere brought about by the May Fourth Movement.
