After returning to Hangzhou from Nansha following two perilous adventures, Wu Xie receives a sudden phone call from his long-lost childhood friend, Lao Yang, during his recovery period. Lao Yang recounts his own adventurous experiences deep within the Qinling Mountains three years prior and invites Wu Xie to join him on another expedition to explore the ancient ruins once more. Wu Xie and Lao Yang set off on their journey into the Qinling Mountains, where they encounter giant taimen, magnificent underground river waterfalls, and the unimaginable ancient divine tree... Meanwhile, the ever-elusive Zhang Qiling is secretly aiding Wu Xie from the shadows.
