"The Fairytaler" (Danish: Der var engang...) is a Danish animated television series adapted from the fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen. It is the second anthology animation series based on Andersen's works, following "The Stories of Hans Christian Andersen." The series was later produced with an English dubbed version. It consists of 26 episodes, featuring a total of 31 stories.
