Created to commemorate the bicentennial of Wagner's birth, the dialogue-free short film "Richard - Im Walkürenritt durch Wagners Leben" (2013) is composed of over six thousand hand-drawn illustrations. It humorously and passionately depicts the life of this controversial German musical genius—from his birth in Leipzig to his death in Venice—portraying his lifelong pursuits of money, women, and music as a wild ride of the Valkyries. The film is accompanied throughout by a reimagined version of "Ride of the Valkyries," reinterpreted with electric guitars and bass.
