On an ordinary night, the mischievous Tom ties Jerry up with a rope and casually leans on the sofa, playing with a mouse yo-yo. Just then, the voice of the lady of the house rings out. The owner orders Tom to sleep outside, but it is pitch dark outside, and a heavy downpour begins. Tom is extremely frustrated and trudges toward the front door with heavy steps. Suddenly, a remark from the lady of the house inspires him. He pretends to have caught a cold and finally earns his owner's pity, allowing him to sleep inside.
