On an ordinary night, the mischievous Tom ties Jerry up with a rope and casually leans on the sofa, playing with a mouse yo-yo. Just then, the voice of the lady of the house rings out. The owner orders Tom to sleep outside, but it is pitch dark outside, and a heavy downpour begins. Tom is extremely frustrated and trudges toward the front door with heavy steps. Suddenly, a remark from the lady of the house inspires him. He pretends to have caught a cold and finally earns his owner's pity, allowing him to sleep inside. Jerry witnesses everything and devises ways to torment his cunning old rival. The little mouse fetches red ink and dots it on Tom's face, creating the illusion that Tom has contracted measles. Tom is greatly shocked and feels extremely uncomfortable. Meanwhile, Jerry keeps scheming—now feeding Tom medicine, now cooling him down, now warming him up—making Tom's life utterly miserable...
