Advancing through the wilderness under the scorching sun are Pandora and Akubi. The two descended upon this world to search for the scattered "Fragments of Calamity," said to possess the power to destroy the world. Meanwhile, in Three Hawks Town, a place overrun by gangs, Sheriff Tsuyoshi Mifune works tirelessly every day to protect the town's peace. Though he gave up his childhood dream of becoming a racer to take on this job, his demeanor seems to slightly worry Louise, a waitress at a familiar diner... Exhausted from walking through the wilderness, Pandora makes a "request" to Akubi, and with magical power, they leap straight to Three Hawks Town! There, they coincidentally meet Tsuyoshi and Louise and ask for their help in searching for the "Fragments of Calamity."
